SPOTLIGHT FROM THE PRESIDENT
January greetings, and Happy “2020” New Year!
I’ve never been much on New Year’s resolutions. My resolution was usually not to make one. I prefer the term” Goal Setting” for without goals you lack focus and direction. Goal setting not only allows us to take control of our direction but also provides a benchmark for determining whether or not we are succeeding. Goal setting is a process that starts with careful consideration of what we want to achieve, and ends with a lot of hard work to actually achieve it. In between, there are some very well-defined steps that transcend the specifics of each goal. I look forward to a New Year of working with Board and Club members to accomplish the many goals that lay before us.
Our NGC President, Gay Austin, encourages us to Plant America with Trees. Perhaps now is a great time as you thumb through old garden books and catalogs to think ahead of a tree you can plant this spring.
Our Caro Garden Club will be in the process of planning our 90TH Anniversary Celebration. Your ideas and involvement are important in order to make this a memorable event. A meeting is scheduled for January 7, 10:00 at Kathy’s home.
Board meeting scheduled for January 21, 1:00 at MariAnn’s home.
Monthly meeting scheduled for January 29, 12:00 at the Brentwood; invite a friend (Order from menu)
May God bless us as we continue to work together stimulating the love of gardening, and encourage home and community beautification.
Caro Garden Club President,
Melody Crossett Jones
