SPOTLIGHT FROM THE PRESIDENT

Greetings Fellow Gardeners,

Hello Mellow September! A time when our gardens are winding down for the season. The fall rains and profuse color come in preparation of the long winter months ahead. Let’s relish the season.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Melody Crossett Jones, and I am the current Caro Garden Club Inc. President for the years 2019-2021. Our club is looking forward to participating in boundless community activities.

Wow!!! Caro Garden Club Inc. will be celebrating “90 INCREDIBLE YEARS!” HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARO GARDEN CLUB INC.” We kick off our festivities by participating in the 2019 Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival Parade on October 6. Join to the fun.

Come join us as we continue to upgrade, and clean up the community gardens on September 22 from 12:00-1:30, and on October 14 from 8:30-2:00. We will meet at the Botanical Garden on the corner of Hooper and Sherman Street. Hope to see you there.

Our next monthly meeting, September 25, 2019 will be held at the “Whiting Forest Canopy Walk” at the Midland Dow Gardens, Midland. Lunch is at 12:00 Noon, cost is $5.00, admission is $10.00 for the walk. Contact the membership chairman to attend.

Also, Caro Garden Club is cordially invited to attend the Echol’s Building Dedication on September 30, 2019 from 4:30-6:30, 323 North State Street, downtown Caro. Our club will be putting together floral arrangements for the event. Come join us in celebration and support of this event, and fellow member Maggie Echols.
