November Greetings,
A fine mist was falling against my face and the wind blew cold as I walked around my yard doing a last time evaluation on what else could be done. Leaves are falling and dancing about like butterflies. My chickens snuggled themselves beneath a row of cedar trees protected from the weather. The farmers are in the field taking down a dry harvest of corn. Autumn is all around me! I think to myself, dark and dreary are the days of November. It makes me want to curl up by a cozy log fire and dream of warmer days when I can once again be in my gardens.
In spite of my opinion, November is a time of reflecting back on months past. Our year is coming to an end as we prepare for the upcoming Holidays and special events. Families gather for Thanksgiving dinner, and we rejoice because of Christmas Day. It is my hope and prayer that you enjoy your families, and look forward to a joyous Holiday Season.
I’d like to extend a big welcome to our guests for November's meeting, Toni and Judy.
Caro Garden Club Tee-Shirts will be ordered and hopefully arrive by our November 20th meeting.
